BSNL Tamil Nadu circle gets a woman chief general manager
CHENNAI: N Poonguzhali took over as chief general manager (CGM) of BSNL Tamil Nadu Telecom Circle last week.
Poonguzhali, a 1979 batch Indian Telecommunication Services officer, is the first woman CGM for BSNL Tamil Nadu circle.
She graduated from IIT Madras in electronics engineering and is also an MBA in marketing. She underwent training in switching technology, her area of specialization, in Korea and Malaysia.
Poonguzhali is a recipient of the distinguished women engineers' award instituted by the Institute of Engineers. She has more than 34 years of experience in department of telecommunications and BSNL in various capacities. This includes two years' experience in the North Eastern circle
